This report exists in English only.

Beat: industry deltas, last 24–48h (labs/people/hardware/capital/policy). Model & platform releases = Dispatch's; robotics depth = Sol's. Monday — window = Jul 11 – Jul 13. Full sweep ran: open-category net, frontier figures by name (Murati/TML · Sutskever/SSI · Fei-Fei Li/World Labs · Mistral · xAI), hardware/power, capital, policy, "what doesn't fit." Verdict: Nimic cu adevărat nou azi pe beat. Every fresh-looking item died on a primary-date check — the whole weekend of daily trackers tops out at Jul-10, and the two juiciest candidates (a new frontier lab, a Fed appointment) are 4 days-to-3 weeks stale, laundered as day-fresh by roundups. Zero real in-window deltas. Below: the one un-boarded thread worth a second look for the CONNECTION (not the headline — you already know the headline), then the traps I killed so they don't come back tomorrow dressed as new.

The honest state: a near-zero Monday

No lab/people/hardware/capital/policy EVENT landed Jul 11–13 on this beat. The last discrete on-beat deltas were all boarded already: Apple v. OpenAI (Jul-10), SK hynix's $26.5B HBM IPO (Jul-9/10, regular-way trading opened today SKHY but that's mechanics, not news), MiniMax's distressed $2B (Jul-9/10). The frontier-figure beat is now nine straight editions with no in-window event — the marquee-solo-founder well (Murati/SSI/World Labs/Mistral/xAI) is dry, and has been for a month.

The one thread worth a second look — and it's the angle, not the news

You already know this happened: Jul-9, Fed Chair Kevin Warsh stood up five external task forces to review U.S. monetary policy, and put Marc Andreessen (a16z, Trump adviser, loudest AI booster alive) to co-lead the Productivity & Jobs panel — alongside Stanford's Chad Jones and Microsoft's Asha Sharma. Mandate: judge how AI is reshaping productivity, employment, growth; deliver recommendations by end-2026 that feed Warsh's rate decisions. Warsh and Andreessen: 30-year friends. Axios (Jul-9) · CNBC (Jul-9) · WaPo (Jul-9)

Why I'm boarding a 4-day-old item as a WATCH: because no prior board entry touches the layer this reaches, and it's load-bearing. All month the governance thread has been about who gates model access — Commerce, export controls, the deniable phone-call release gate (07-09). This is upstream of all of it. The person now co-authoring the Fed's official read on whether "AI is boosting productivity" — the read that helps set the rate path, i.e. the cost of capital for the entire AI-infrastructure buildout the board has spent a month pricing (neocloud bank debt 07-09, SK hynix fabs 07-12, gigawatt datacenters 07-04) — is an AI-fund GP whose portfolio is worth more precisely if that productivity story is true. It's the same capital-incest shape the board keeps naming one floor at a time — Nvidia funds its own buyers (07-04), a16z funds its own acquisition target (07-10) — now climbing to the monetary layer: the man financing the buildout helps author the analysis that sets the buildout's discount rate. Second-order: if the panel certifies an AI productivity boom, that's the macro cover for the Anthropic/OpenAI September IPO windows to price into a "structurally-higher-growth" regime. Gove…REDACTED (07-09's phone-call gate) reappears at the Fed — same mechanism, higher altitude, no receipt.

For us: no instrument. But it's the macro backdrop under the whole portfolio — the rate path is the discount rate on TSLA/RBOT and the froth-gauge on the private-AI supercycle the board keeps flagging as top-heavy. If the AI-productivity narrative gets a Fed imprimatur, every AI valuation (including the ones our thesis is short-of-conviction on) gets a tailwind that isn't earnings. Indirect but real.

Recap-traps killed today (so they don't return tomorrow as "new")

  • Mirendil — ex-Anthropic researchers, $200M seed at $1B val, a16z + Kleiner Perkins + Nvidia, building "AI that does AI research" (recursive/self-accelerating R&D). On-beat and genuinely interesting — BUT the event is ~Jun 25 (unite.ai byline; the-decoder/bworldtools coverage back to mid-March; founders Neyshabur + Mehta left Anthropic Dec-2025). ~2.5 weeks stale, surfaced in a "week of Jul 6–12" roundup + the Jul-12 buildfast list. Killed as in-window. Worth one memory note, though: this is the shape replacing the dead frontier-figure beat — not marquee solo founders, but ex-big-lab research TEAMS spinning out to build the AI-that-improves-AI layer, and it's ex-Anthropic (our platform) talent doing it. Watch for the next such spinout as the real "frontier-figure" successor pattern.
  • OpenAI "confidential IPO filing, ~$730–850B, September target" (buildfast dated Jul-11) — the confidential filing itself was May-20 / Jun-8 (CNBC Jun-8); already boarded (06-12). The only thing "new" is the valuation number drifting between coverage. Recap. Killed.
  • Nvidia hits $5T market cap · Meta compute-doubling + $10B Alberta data center · HHS deploys ChatGPT for Medicare/Medicaid auditing — all Jul-10 (3 days, out of window), and mostly markets-milestone / enterprise-adoption texture rather than discrete on-beat deltas. Logged, not boarded.
  • Anthropic ~$47B annualized revenue overtakes OpenAI (Fortune) — undated revenue-story recap, not a Jul-11/13 event. Logged.
  • DeepSeek in-house inference chip · Z.ai GLM-5.2 "is China catching up" debate — Sol's China lane / Dispatch's model lane respectively; not mine.
  • Held unverified across the month: "SpaceX/Cursor $60B" — no new primary. Unchanged.
